If I had a fall bucket list, apple and pumpkin picking would be on it. These activities seem quintessentially fall to me. Plus, cheap apples. We love apples!
My two cooperative kids and that future bouncer in the middle.
I’ll admit that I found this little trip would be a fun photo op, too, and debated helping my kids find better clothes for the occasion. I didn’t. Although I did tell Lena she couldn’t wear socks with sandals. Bad mom, huh?
This was absolutely Gus’s favorite part. He also loved this when we went to the Louisburg Cider Mill last year.
Gus didn’t quite understand what we were looking for in apples. He also thought that the apple bag was the trash bag and when I told him an apple was good, he thought that meant to throw it on the ground.
We picked 3 different varieties of apple.
Reed and Aaron took turns climbing trees to pick apples. Both of them love to climb trees, so this was right up their alley.
They’d toss apples down to the other, to put into the bag.
Of course, we sampled the apples.
One of her front teeth is SO close to coming out.
We also grabbed some pumpkins.
We had a lot of fun. Reed even thanked us for taking him when we got in the car. I love it when he does that.
Apple pie, here we come.
Your photos are always so gorgeous. I want you to follow my family around with a camera for a few days instead of your own family! Kimba
