I heard some talk of scissors from the living room today, so I had to go and investigate. This is what I found.
A little bit later, Lena came in and announced that she wanted to be read to as well.
Things got a big cramped.
Eventually, Gus got up, but these two kept on reading.
R: You know you’re layin’ on me?
L: Yup.
It was kind of an icky day here. It didn’t stop raining until after dark. And then it was only 40 degrees out. Brrr.
On top of that, a certain littlest man is sick. And someone else was exhausted.
And, we’re more than halfway done with the month of October… I’m not sure I’m ready for what that means. Winter is coming.
I wanted to capture something that I value as truly necessary– clean water, healthy food, warm clothes. There are so many things we often forget are luxuries; we don’t really NEED them.
This is just a photo of a boy and his dad, one of countless photos like it. But, it’s a reminder to me about one of the most important things we need and what this blog is really all about: Family.
One of my goals for this year of my life is authenticity. Which in this case, means posting a weird self-portrait when none of my other ideas for the day come together.
Yes, I am posting an unflattering photo of myself on my blog. Standing by my back window, doing the dishes. I didn’t put on makeup, or even take off my glasses. But, it’s real, so i’m going to roll with it.
