Oh, hi, yes. We’re still here.

2017 has been an interesting year. The kids are doing well– Lyuda is in her first year of high school, Reed is in 5th, Lena in 4th, and Gus is in 1st grade.

I quit Facebook and accidentally quit blogging. I’ve gotten busier and less time for social media, I guess. Having 4 kids and a full time job tends to keep one busy. I recently changed jobs within the same company, moving from a set schedule working on our support team to a more flexible (still fulltime) schedule working on technical documentation and other resources. This is giving me the freedom to be a good employee and a good mom without feeling like I need to sacrifice one for the other so often.

The kids visited my family without me for about a month this summer and then I made the trip out to pick them up and to some fun things. Including going to the beach (where many of these pics are from).

2016 was the year of new kid, new house, new schools for the kids, new job (for me). 2017 has been the year of sorting that all out. The kids all have neighborhood friends and Lena and Gus’s friends love to catch frogs with them.

Fewer adventures while we work through what day to day life looks like now, but there have still been some.

Life’s pretty normal. So normal that it’s hard for me to write all the details. 😉 Perhaps I’ll get back into blogging more and share some of the fun things we’ve been up to, but I’m not sure if I’ll find time for that. Either way, I wanted to stop by with a quick update that we’re all doing well.
